5 Posters

Hi everyone.

Here are my five posters. For some strange reason the colors are completely wrong when they upload on to here. I will turn in the real hard copy ones next class but for now here are these cheap ones. I am so sorry I couldn't go to class I was feeling really sick and could not get out of bed this morning. I'll see you next week.

  1. Hey :)

I think that they all look very interesting and experimental. I personally like the red and the one for your brother's birthday (if I remember correctly) the most. I really wish to see the red one on paper; it was a very good idea to throw everything in the corner like that - it creates a very nice tension.

The typeface in the purple one is also pretty fascinating, but I personally kind of liked it more in black and white. I also wonder what if you move the sentences in between the circles so that the two connect better. The typeface you created is so nice that it is a shame something else to take away from it! The one that is white with the little yellow broken typeface, I cannot recall the story behind it but I think that if you add another element in the composition - maybe on the opposite side of the diagonal(one of the broken parts for instance), it may make it stronger! Or just try and see how it works with a sans serif typeface, as it is a little hard to read now, at these color and scale! And as for the first one with the cyan and the olive green I cannot really see what is happening because of the quality of the image and the white space around. I am sure it works pretty good on paper though!

Overall I really like the fact that they are so different and that you tried to vary in both scale and contrast, in addition to the typeface choice! You are going out of the frame which is also unique!

As for the colors: it is most likely because of the color space: i.e for web it should be: sRGB or Adobe RGB. If you have a printer and you are working with another color profile, this might bug your pictures when you upload them as well. Above all, the simplest explanation is that you may have upload them in CMYK! I do not know if this helps, but it might.

    Feel better!
