Notes & Assignments 4/23/09
hi all
we are making great progress, which i hope you all see.
in one common area i see trouble for a few groups: that of typeface choice and treatment.
the purposes of the first few homework assignments in this project were to make those decisions early on so that they wouldn't hold you back when it came to developing your grid and hierarchy systems. i have confidence that each of you is able to see why some type choices (which font, which size, letterspacing, position, etc.) work and some don't. to further aid in those decisions you have nearly unlimited references at your disposal. use them, and work TOGETHER to make the decisions!
before next class i need to see some evidence of progress in this area from the yatta! and fantasy horizon groups. post stuff here.
aside from that, your assignment this week is simply to revise your small and large collateral pieces.
